Toronto Anglican Church (Christ the King) meets in Awabakal Country and the site on which our church stands has a long spiritual history as the site known as Pondee, <\/em>which means high place and the site for ceremony and ritual of the Awabakal <\/strong>people; the traditional custodians of this region. Country is more than land, it is the skies and the depths of Awaba (the Lake), all animals, plants and people. We honour and pay our respects to all elders past and present and extend our respects to all First Nations people.<\/p>\n

Who we are: <\/strong>We are a grace centered vibrant and active Christian community of faith. \u00a0We are a community that reflects many aspects of Anglican tradition, always exploring new ways of celebrating our faith.\u00a0 This is expressed primarily in the worship, service, prayer, fellowship and Sacraments that form us to live out our faith in the community through participating in the movement of God's love towards the world. Our vision<\/strong> is as that as we live as disciples of Jesus Christ, our lives, our communities, and our West Lake region will be transformed. Our Mission <\/strong>is shaped by the Anglican Communion's 5 Marks of Mission;<\/p>\n

  1. To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom (Tell)<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. To teach, baptise and nurture new believers (Teach)<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. To respond to human need by loving service (Tend) <\/span><\/li>\n
  4. To transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and pursue peace and reconciliation (Transform)<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation, and sustain and renew the life of the earth (Treasure)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    We gather for worship on weekends and weekdays and you are warmly invited to attend any of our services no matter where you are in your spiritual journey.\u00a0 Whether you are new to the Church or have been an active Church member for 50+ years, all are welcome and equal in the Kingdom of God.<\/p>\n

    We gather for worship on Sundays at 9am. We also have Caffe Church at 10.30am on the 2nd Thursday of the month in the hall and have a Bolton Clarke Community Eucharist in the Community centre at Macquarie View - Bolton Point on the 2nd Monday of the month.<\/p>\n
